The Signature Canvas Watch Roll is back! Read why we're relieved and happy...
One of our first real experiments was back in 2014. We used, loved and sold the all leather watch rolls back then but were constantly thinking of a new twist for it.
Again it was one of the visits at Jean Pauls atelier where we stumbled across the Canvas that was used for something totally different back then.
After some critic views and try outs on different suede combination we had the matching one.
The experiment went well
First batch arrived in short time and we as well as our customers started using them frequently and catched lots of attention at different occasions. Especially on the meetings we attended and other small get togethers with passionate watch friends back then.
The outer appearance of the canvas combined with the finest suede lining presenting mostly unexpected watch treasures was and is just something special.
Nothing last for ever
After a few other batches we faced the problem of getting the exact fabric back in production. When you’re dependent on materials from third party producers that are far away from mass production you sometimes face these kind of problems.
Confident but als well naive we started to search for the exact same material. And it took us ONLY a year.
All good things are worth waiting
So after endless sample stages on materials we kept getting frustrated. We couldn’t find the right one which at least matched the original canvas by 99.9%.
Whole thing might sound a bit strange, as you could think by having a look at the pics the difference is not that big… but it is.
The whole haptic of the canvas, the pearly and quality stiffness is what makes this initial combination so special. The left one is our Signature watch roll. The right one is one alternatively in the market.
No compromise
We believe in our products and our very own quality values that we either prefer to stop offering a product or walk that extra mile to get what makes us smile. As we only want to sell products we are happy to use ourself …
