Strap Guide – The Omega Straight Lugs Speedmaster
Welcome to the Bulang and Sons Strap Guide. Our aim is to showcase some of our most popular straps on a range of iconic watches so you can see how the different combinations work.
The Straight Lug Speedy
Early Omega Speedmasters have had a meteoric rise in both value and popularity over the past few years. The straight lug watches from the late 1950s to the mid 1960s are the focus of today’s Bulang and Sons Strap Guide.
From the first version, the 2915 through to the 1005.003, the early Speedies have key characteristics that give them a cool vintage look and feel. As the title states, one of the key characteristics are the straight lugs, which precede the later asymmetrical lugs. The cases also are without crown guards, which heightened the vintage racing vibe of the watch. The dials are also clean due to the lack of ‘Professional’ text and also the long hour indices. We also love the slightly slimmer lug width at 19mm. Classy elegance or motor sport inspired racing strap – there is a cool strap for you. Check out our curated selection…
